Privacy and data

Delete your account

Permanently remove your account and associated learner data.

Last updated: 2026-10-15 · Pilot draft

Permanent deletion

You cannot undo this yourself, and there is no restore button. Your learning progress and account records are removed from the live service straight away.

  • Deletion signs you out on this device.
  • Backup copies are overwritten on a rolling basis, so your data can remain in a backup for a limited time (see below).

Sign in first so Blabalot can verify and delete the correct account.

What is deleted and what can remain

What is deleted

Your account, learning data, AI conversations, support messages linked to the account, sign-in tokens and saved sessions on every device are removed from the live service.

What can remain for a limited time

  • Backups: the latest three nightly copies are kept and older ones are overwritten, plus copies the owner may keep for up to about six months. A copy of your data that you downloaded from Settings is yours to delete.
  • Staff audit-log entries about actions on your account (they can contain a username, email or IP address). They are kept until we remove them.
  • Operational logs at our hosting provider, which can contain a username and IP address.
  • Text already sent to OpenAI for AI features. OpenAI keeps it under its own rules, and we cannot delete it there.
  • Saved speech clips for read-aloud. They are shared by all learners and not linked to your account, so they are not removed.
  • Emails you sent to support. They stay in the support mailbox until we delete them.
  • Sign-ups and support messages sent while you were signed out. Ask support to delete them.
  • Payment records, if payments are used in future. There are no payments in the pilot.
